Many of my scrapbook pages document what it is like for me to be a mom. However, I find that I do not scrap much about my husband being a dad. Very few of my pages are dedicated to this topic. So I was overjoyed to see this month’s Story Starters at Simple Scrapper: Man of the House—a perfect opportunity to specifically document my husband’s role as Dad.
This layout features a cute photograph of my husband and son at our local fire department where we volunteer. My husband is teaching my son how to check the engine of the fire truck. I used two hearts, two birds, and the ampersand symbol as embellishments to symbolize the two people in the picture.
For my second layout this month, I decided to be inspired by the journaling cards in our June collection. Using just cardstock, patterned paper, and die cuts, I created several accent cards for my weekly Project Life spread.
