April at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog

This month I am having fun with my Vintage Spring kit, which was inspired by this kit from C’est Magnifique. This kit is definitely not my usual style, so I am flexing my creative muscle by finding ways to use up these products.

At the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, the Master Forgers were tasked with creating a project based on the works by the Design Team at C’est Magnifique. Challenge # 2: Choose any project from the C’est Magnifique February Kit Posts and let it isnpire you! Don’t forget to let us know where you found your inspiration when you link up your projects!

I browsed through the February blog entries and found this layout by Angelique Jarrier:

April CKC1

I knew I had similar distressed paper and butterflies in my kit, so I began with those supplies. I placed my black & white photo in the top middle of the page with patterned paper layered underneath, similar to the layout. I then added doilies to mimic the flowers on this page. I also added a die cut, cork stars, and a title in block letters as in the layout.

Such a different look for me! Check back later to see what else I create with the Vintage Spring kit!

Now go create!

  1. Clapping my hands – how cute is he??? Love the doilies subbed in for the white patterns + the cork stars have a subtle masculinity to them (must remember this.)
