The holidays are over. All of my decorations are neatly packed away until next year. We start back homeschooling tomorrow. I’m always a little bit sad this time of year when the Christmas music disappears and the lights come down. So I try to look on the bright side–planning ahead to all of the holidays I have to celebrate between now and the next Christmas season.
For the last month in Stacy Julian’s Inspired Scrapbooking class at Big Picture Classes, the theme was holidays–not just the time between Halloween and New Year’s Day, but all of the special days we celebrate during the year. Our challenge was to make a page that shows the wide variety of holidays that are special to our family and call it CELEBRATE EVERYTHING!
I looked back at photos that I had taken over 2014 and created this page.
While looking back through my pictures, I noticed that I had several photos from certain holidays, but few or none from others. There are certain days that are special to my family–such as Ash Wednesday, Father’s Day, and birthdays–that I did not document this past year. This page allowed me to recognize special days that I want to make sure to record in 2015.
Now that the year is over, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the Inspired Scrapbooking class. I was able to revisit the themes that I scrapped about in the Twelve class and add to those stories. I am looking forward to celebrate everything this year!
