If you often find yourself short on scrapbooking time, making a mini-kit can be a fantastic solution to this problem! At Counterfeit Kit Challenge, we know that sometimes we scrapbookers are full of creativity, but short on time. Our new mini-kit feature should help you navigate these busy times.
To make my mini-kit, I looked to a few of the themes running through the inspiration kit—butterflies, florals, and gold. With my kit, I chose embellishments first—a 6×6 patterned paper pad with a large floral and gold prints, stickers with butterflies, and die cuts with gold accents—all reminiscent of the inspiration collection. I selected two coordinating patterned papers to complete the mini-kit.
For my project, I chose several photographs that I took on the first college visit with my son. I knew I wanted to scrap the pictures, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of time making a two page spread mini-album or. So I used my mini-kit to make a 12×12 layout then paired it with a pocket page. I kept the design simple and embellishments minimal to streamline the process of creating the page.
This month’s mini-kit was extremely helpful in my getting this larger story told quickly!
