Welcome to my debut post as part of the Scrapbook Challenges Crew! Today’s challenge is a Flashback Friday–an older sketch that has been updated–and I used it to scrap some of my Hipstamatic photos.
My sister introduced me to the Hipstamatic app about two years ago. I have been hooked ever since! It is an app similar to Instagram in that you can take square photos, but you have a wide variety of film types and lenses you can combine to get very cool pictures!
To make the page, I pulled out an older Studio Calico kit with lots of pinks and greys. Those colors paired well with the black-and-white photos.
Instead of using pictures cropped into circles, I used square photos but added doilies to mimic the circular design. I slid the photo block up the page so I could use large Thickers for the title. One of the photos was taken in the rain, so I added a little cloud banner at the bottom right for balance and to echo the clouds in that photo.
So head on over to the Scrapbook Challenges blog to see today’s challenge and more inspirational sketches and layouts. Make sure you add your inspired creation to the challenge page!
