I am always amazed at the amount of supplies that come in my monthly kit from Citrus Twist Kits. This month was no exception. So far I have made three pages–and they are some of my favorites!
A few weeks ago, my son celebrated his 13th birthday, officially making me the mother of three teenagers! So I wanted to make a special layout to celebrate this milestone.
I started with a “3 to Inspire” challenge from the blog. The prompts were to (1) use a lot of sequins, (2) add some hidden journaling, and (3) try stamping on your photos. The sequins were perfect for the celebratory page. The hidden journaling is on a tag behind the top photo. I stamped “Good Stuff” and “You” on the photos.
The next page was inspired by a sketch from the Scrap Happy membership. This layout tells the story of the fun my youngest had playing with fire hoses. I love these photos because even though you cannot see much of the people’s faces, you can still tell they are having fun.
Finally, I used a Sunday Sketch to document my son fighting a grass fire. This sketch was fairly simple, so I used the opportunity to play around with lots of embellishments!
After these three pages, I still have lots of supplies left. I am going to get busy making more layouts because the October kit will be here soon!
