September at Simple Scrapper is all about living simply. I have been striving to be simpler in many areas of my life, including scrapbooking.
One easy way that I simplify scrapbooking is by using sketches. Another is to use pocket pages. Sometimes I use a sketch and a pocket page together for super quick page-creating!
My first layout uses one of this month’s Sketch/Templates along with a pocket page.
This summer my kids went mini-golfing with their church youth group. I was lucky enough to get several wonderful photos as they played. Instead of making a traditional two-page spread, I used the sketch on the left side with one focal point photo and then put the rest of my pictures in pockets on the right. Super simple!
The second layout I made gets inspiration from this month’s Story Starter theme, Simple. I chose to document how my family is working to simplify our lives on our farm. We spend much of our time at home and outside with each other and our many animals. I reflected this theme of simplicity in my layout by using a past Sketch/Template with a simple grid design, subtle patterned paper, and minimal embellishments.
