Welcome December! I am glad that you are here again bringing jingle bells and Santa Claus and mistletoe. My home is decked out in twinkling lights and evergreen wreaths. And Christmas carols have been playing for quite a while now.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is eyeing all of the beautiful new scrappy products that come out this time of year. I wish I could buy every Christmas collection!
I do purchase a few new holiday supplies this time of year, usually for my December album. I do not do a traditional December Daily, but I do create a small album that captures what our family does throughout the holiday season. (Look for an upcoming post showcasing my project for this year.) I also like to have a few new supplies to make gift tags and boxes, as well as scrap a few Christmas layouts.
This year I am planning to participate in two holiday scrapbooking classes–Journal Your Christmas by Shimelle Lane and Your December Story by Debbie Hodge. This will be the first time I am joining in Journal Your Christmas. I am excited to be adding more stories to my December album.
Two years ago, I participated in Your December Story at Get It Scrapped. As a former English teacher, I LOVED this class based on classic literature. I made several layouts that became some of my very favorites of the holidays. I am anxiously awaiting the start of this class a second time!
So December, it is good to see you again. I am ready to enjoy all that you have to offer and document it as well!
No go create!
