A New View

For fourteen years I drove the same car, a blue Ford Expedition. The car became mine when all of my children were small and in car seats. As they grew, the car took us to all the places we needed (and wanted) to go–pediatrician visits, riding lessons, trips to the zoo. Recently, we decided that this trusty car should be retired. So the hunt for a replacement began.

Soon I found the perfect vehicle–a red Ford F-150 truck. This truck had all the requirements I was looking for as well as some extras that I love–heated seats, GPS, and my favorite feature–a sunroof!

This month’s first challenge at Counterfeit Kit Challenge is to document something you love. What a perfect challenge to document my new truck and use my February kit, Flowers & Candy.

For this page, I really wanted to highlight the beautiful blue sky in the photograph. So I changed the picture of the truck to black-and-white so it would not compete with the focal point. I used a pale yellow background to set off the pictures.

Make sure to check out the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog this month for more inspiration from the team!

Now go create!

  1. What a great page Kelly – love the shot of that beautiful sky through the sunroof on that pretty yellow background! You’ve inspired me to scrap about some of my favorite vehicles.
