A Walk in the Woods

At the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog this month we are celebrating November with challenges related to colder weather. The second challenge gets inspiration from walking in the woods in the crisp air to see all of the beautiful colors of the leaves.

Challenge #2: In the fall, we often take long walks in the woods to enjoy the crisp air and turning of the leaves. For this challenge, let the forest be your inspiration. Create a project inspired by the woods. For ideas, check out this Pinterest board.

I am lucky enough to live on a farm with lots wooded acres. I take walks through the woods in the fall when the air is cooler and the leaves are bright orange and yellow. On this page, I have documented some of the little details of a recent walk through our woods.

The colors in my photographs are somewhat muted, so I felt good about using the bright patterned paper down at the bottom of my page. I also used a woodgrain pattern to reinforce the woodland theme of the page.

Make sure to check out the projects designed by other members of the team for this challenge on the blog. And let us see your woodland-inspired work–link your project to our monthly link-up page.

Now go create!

  1. What a lovely page and I really like the idea of using the brighter scrap papers to counter the muted photos – works so well. The tiny cork element is perfect. I love this time of year and didn’t manage to find the time for a nature walk which is a shame! Great page Kelly!
