Wandering | October Counterfeit Kit Challenge Reveal Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop! Hopefully you’ve made the jump here from Margie’s blog. If not, click on back to the CKC site to see the full blog hop list.

Another month is here with a brand new inspiration kit chosen by Master Forger Julene. She picked the lovely new collection from Prima—St. Tropez. This collection is gorgeous with its vintage travel theme and beautiful floral touches. (Go here to see the entire collection up close).

When I began putting my kit together, I wanted my collection to have a travel theme like the original. However, I knew I wouldn’t be visiting a seaside village in France any time soon. At this time of year, I’m most likely just wandering around my farm enjoying the cooler weather and the turning of the season.

So I began with a floral paper that reminds me of the gorgeous flowers that bloom here during the end of summer and beginning of fall. The rest of the papers coordinate well with the floral and have more subdued patterns to balance the floral. My favorite paper is the pink woodgrain. This pattern was a wonderful find in my stash!

For the embellishments, I tried to stick closely to the type of products in the inspiration kit. I have chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, crystals, ephemera, and, of course, Prima flowers.

Because this kit is inspired by walks around my farm, I am calling this collection Wandering. Make sure to check back later in the month to see my creations from this kit!

And now, the next stop is Lisa’s blog to see her interpretation of the St. Tropez collection. Thanks for visiting today!

Now go create!

  1. Such a twist with the pink yet it too captures the essence of the inspiration kit. All the kits are quiet different from each other, this month. Yet each one clearly references the inspiration. Well done.
Please share a photo of these flowers that bloom for you in fall.

  3. I love the lush floral feel of your kit with those beautiful papers and all the pinks! It will definitely be perfect for capturing all those end-of-summer blooms.
