Autumn Adventure – October 2015 Counterfeit Kit Challenge Reveal and Blog Hop

Hello Fall! It is that time of year again—cooler weather, colorful leaves, and pumpkin-spice-everything! It is also the first of the month—time for the reveal and blog hop at Counterfeit Kit Challenge!

To celebrate this wonderful time, the inspiration kit this month is from CSI:Color, Stories, Inspiration and is full of autumn goodness!

To build my kit, Autumn Adventure, I first started with inspiration from the color scheme. I looked for papers with the same muted green, yellow, and orange. The older car, bicycle, and guitar in the scene photo give a vintage feel to this kit, so my papers also have vintage motifs such as old clocks, mason jars, and stitching.

For the embellishments, I let the evidence be my guide. I added wood veneer leaves, metal trinkets, twine, and die cuts with leaves, branches, and hearts. Finally, I added some cardstock and gold letter stickers.

Now hop on to Leslie’s blog to see her take on this month’s inspiration kit!

  1. I am in love with that orange, triangle patterned paper. And I usually hate orange. Somehow, you have made me swoon over orange. I think that’s the sign of an amazing kit. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be creating!

  2. I like the vintage turn you took with the inspiration. You’ve put together such a warm and cozy kit – looking forward to seeing how you use it this month!

  3. Such a fun adventure this kit will take you on 🙂 We have similar tastes in papers I recognized a couple that I have in my stash too 🙂 Congrats to you for getting one of the picks for the Master Forger 🙂 and I will be following your Before Your Story posts too as I am in that class also 🙂

  4. Gorgeous! And welcome to the team – a wonderful first kit and full of scrummy colours and patterns that inspire me to print out those leaf photos and get going. I love the brown and gold – great combination. I particularly like the metal charms and veneer leaves – right up my street
