Whew! January is already over and February is upon us! A new month and a new inspiration kit! This month Master Forger Clair has chosen this lovely kit from Scrapdelight. I love the soft florals and mint green in this collection.

As I went though my stash to assemble my kit, I noticed that I did not have any dark blue or purple papers. So I looked to the patterns on the papers—tiny flowers, trees, circles, polka dots, and cameras—to choose the papers for my kit.

The first paper I chose is from the Fresh Cut collection by Basic Grey. This paper has a mint green background with tiny flowers—very much like the floral prints in the inspiration kit. I then added a few more floral papers, some soft stripes, and a yellow watercolor print.

For my embellishments, I looked through my stash for any products in mint green, or with flower, tree, circle, or camera prints. When my kit was completed, I decided to call it Flowers & Candy—in honor of Valentine’s Day this month and also for the floral prints in the patterned paper and the flair and button embellishments that remind me of candy. A very sweet kit!

From here, hop on over to Lisa’s blog to see her take on this month’s inspiration kit.

Now go create!

  1. I agree that it’s great to see how your kit is inspired by the original kit’s designs rather than colours and you’ve pulled together a stunner! It’ll be lovely to use for sure!
