Oh I have had such fun scrapping with my September kit, Sweet Smile! The inspiration kit from Felicity Jane led me to put together one of my all-time favorite counterfeit kits.
This month I made five layouts with my kit. This first page was inspired by the first challenge on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, “Sketches!”
CHALLENGE ONE: Sketches! Sketches are a great way to speed up the scrapbooking process, or at least take one decision out of the scrapbooking process. My favorite sketches are by Shimelle, so the challenge is to use a Shimelle sketch for your project. You can see her sketches and inspiration for using them here: http://www.shimelle.com/category/sketch-of-the-week/. You can use any sketch from this link, but please share which one you used with us!
I LOVE sketches so this challenge was delightful! I chose this sketch from Shimelle’s website.
And here is my page!
The second page for the month was based on Challenge #2, “Back to School.” You can read about it here. I not only used a lesson from Shimelle for the page, I also used another sketch.
The third page incorporated challenge #3, “Kate Spade,” as well as the two previous challenges in that I used another Shimelle sketch and made lots of layers on the page (my lesson from the “Back to School” challenge).
Here is the sketch.
And here is the page. When I saw the Kate Spade mood board, I knew I had to use the patterned paper with the bows as my background.
The next page was inspired by a challenge on the Whimsical Musings Facebook page. The challenge was to scrapbook about “Growth.” I chose to tell the story of the little ducklings we are “growing” this year.
Finally, I created a page using a sketch from Citrus Twist Kits and featuring that cute smiley-face patterned paper. The paper was perfect for a page about my smiley-faced youngest son.
So, goodbye Sweet Smile! I enjoyed our time together! Check back on October 1 to see the new inspiration kit from Counterfeit Kit Challenge.
Now go create!
