Hate It!

Welcome! If you are here from the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog hop–I am glad you are here!

My family volunteers at our local fire department as firefighters and EMTs. In doing so, we learn about a wide variety of tools and equipment used in fighting fires and rescue. Most of the time, these new experiences are quite fun.

But recently I had to learn about the K-12, a huge, scary-looking saw that is used in vehicle extrication. I had to check to see that the equipment was in good working order, which meant I actually had to turn it on. Which I could NOT do.

I came to really dislike that saw. As you can see from the look on my face in the photograph on my page.

The first challenge this month at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog was to write about something you hate. Challenge #1: I HATE it! Do a project sharing something you just don’t like! Go ahead…get it all out! When I read this challenge, this photo immediately sprang to mind. I knew I had to scrap it!

I dove into my Grey Skies kit and created this layout.

Now head on over to Tina’s blog, your next stop on the hop. If you would like to start at the beginning, just go to Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and start there.

Now go create!

  1. What a great page, and I feel a little sorry for whoever is on the other end of that look. Your page definitely captures your frustration. But bless you for being a first responder!!

  2. What a great photo! Lol That’s a cool layout documenting something you didn’t like to do. That’s one heavy piece of equipment there.

  3. You definitely look like you hate that saw – your expression says it all! I like that you used minimal embellishments to really let the picture tell the story. Great choice of title too!

  4. Oh, man! What a perfect photo to convey your frustration. I like that you’ve left the page simple & used my favorite “technique” – let the patterned paper do the work 🙂
Love the grunged tag & the tiny LOL puffy sticker, as it did kind of make me smile.

  5. The photo is priceless and it’s a great capture of your life and a super way to make something positive out of something that is clearly a little annoying! Thanks for joining in on the hop!
