Mad for Plaid

Apparently plaid is making a comeback. I just recently saw an ad for all things plaid at Target. I have always loved plaid–it is so warm and cozy–perfect for this time of year.

There have been plaid trends in scrapbooking too. I am not sure if plaid is back in the scrappy world right at this moment, but it is fun to take trends from other areas and apply them to scrapping.

Today’s challenge at Scrapbook Challenges takes on the plaid craze. For my layout, I used an old Chatterbox plaid paper that I still had in my stash (I LOVED Chatterbox paper!).

Since plaid gives me homey feelings, I decided to use two photos of our chickens on my page. We have been raising chickens for the past three years. Their cute fuzziness just reminds me of plaid!

How do you feel about plaid? Is it a trend you will embrace this season? If you would like to see how other Sketch Crew members used plaid in their layouts, hop on over to the Scrapbook Challenges blog. Then enter your plaid creation on the challenge entry page.

  1. I have to say that I like plaid when others use it but I’m not sure I’d manage it myself 🙂 But I DID love Chatterbox papers too. I might even have one or two of them still …. ah, the good old days! I love the idea of raising chickens and having all those wonderful fresh eggs but I’m not really sure they’d be happy with that here in the city centre! Great page!
