Play Time

I have been slowly working my way through my current kit, Cheers!, and I am realizing how much I miss having a local scrapbook store. Two of the items I purchased have been unexpected and unusable on a scrapbook page.

I wrote about the party fans in this post.

And now I am seeing that the cute clothespins with the stars are just too chunky to use on an actual page.

If I had seen these items in the store, I probably would have left them on the shelf. I use fairly flat embellishments on my pages.

On the bright side, however, I now have some cheery party fans to hang up around my house. And I know that I will find some use for the darling clothespins–maybe in the Week in the Life album that I am planning?

Anyway, the next layout I made with this kit uses a sketch from the Citrus Twist Kit blog. I love the CTK Sunday sketch series! I have several of the sketches pinned for future inspiration.

The layout features photos of my kids playing a tabletop air hockey game. I love to listen to them play together because the always make up their own rules and then accuse each other of cheating–so funny! So I documented this story on this page.

I found myself using some embellishments left over from another kit since I am short on product in the Cheers! kit. Luckily these embellishments coordinated well with the colors in my current kit.

Now go create!
