Use Your Media | March at Counterfeit Kit Challenge

This month at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, the Master Forgers were tasked with creating a layout inspired by the media. Magazines, catalogues, and other print media can be such a great source of design ideas for us scrapbookers.

From the blog: Challenge #2 – Use print media (newspapers, magazines, junk mail, catalogues) as the starting point for a layout. Colours, words, layout, even the story. could all be a source of inspiration. Or incorporate some into the project itself!

When I saw this article in Southern Living magazine about new color trends, I immediately thought of my current kit, Lucky Me. The papers have the same pinks and greens and watercolor-look.

For my page, I scrapped a photograph of a key lime pie that my son made. It is one of our family’s favorite springtime desserts!

So before you toss that junk mail in the trash, take a look and see if it inspires you to scrapbook!

Now go create!
